  1. Rates:
    Any inquiries pertaining to rates should be directed to the individual or company that you have booked your cargo through. If you are inquiring about rates prior to booking cargo, please contact a freight forwarder, agent or shipping line directly. Contact information can be found at www.halifaxgetsitthere.com.
  2. Tracking a container:
    If you have an import container with Halifax as the destination port of call, you can track your container on our website. Here you will be able to see when the container arrived in port, when it was discharged from the vessel, loaded to rail, and arrived at its destination.
  3. Cruises:
    Can I start or end a cruise in Halifax? Please contact the cruise line directly for all booking inquiries. A list of cruise lines that call Halifax can be found at the following link: http://www.cruisehalifax.ca – go to Our Visitors and click on Cruise Lines in the right hand tool bar.
  4. RO/RO:
    How do I ship a vehicle in or out of Halifax? The following lines ship RO/RO cargo through Halifax:

    Send a shipment to North America via Halifax from an international port of call?
    1. We recommend that you use a freight forwarder or book through the shipping line directly. They will take care of any required documentation and determine the best route options.
    2. Contact information for freight forwarders and other service providers can be found at: www.halifaxgetsitthere.com.
    3. If you would like to contact a shipping line directly but are not sure which line to choose, please look up the country or port of call on the Route Maps link found on our website: www.halifaxgetsitthere.com.

    Pick up my container when it arrives?
    1. Contact the shipping line, agent or freight forwarder that you booked your cargo through, and ask for a drayage company recommendation. A list of local shipping line and agent numbers can be found at: www.halifaxgetsitthere.com.
